Got a full-time job and think you don’t enough time to run a blog? Girl, I am here to tell you that you can totally do both, and more importantly, you can do it in just a few hours! Creating content consists of a few things, effort and time, and if you’ve got a plan, you can have them both!
Most of us have to balance our routines in order to achieve our goals, and this week I am going to share with you the best tips on creating weeks’ worth of content in just a few hours! I did it in three to be exact!
Start With A To Do List
Make a little list of what you want to achieve in these few hours! These could include what outfits you want to do, which locations you’d love, what kind of props you want to bring, what theme you want to feature that week, and what color scheme you want to follow.
This comes without saying, the more organized you are, the greater outcome you’ll have. You only have a few hours, so the best thing to do is have a set schedule and come prepared! I planned to do 3 different looks in 3 hours and did my research, my planning and my schedule before. Here are some ways you can do this.
When you scout locations, make sure that they’re all in walking distance, this makes it easier to travel and saves time as well! If you save time, you’ll have a wider opportunity to have more shooting time and be able to create more.
Check The Weather
Check the weather when choosing what day you want to shoot on or what time you want to shoot. Living in Paris this is a priority as the weather is changing all the time and I need to avoid the rain or catch the sunshine!
Accessory Bag & Outfit Bag
I keep two separate bags for these, as this way I know where my outfits are and where my props are, and I avoid them getting dirty.
Recycle Props & Outfits
This is a great way to be able to carry less stuff, but also to create a theme. This will make your pictures more cohesive and related to your own brand, and you can also incorporate this into your color theme. My recent shoot included pops of red, so I incorporated this by using red strawberries, a red dress, and a red bag!
Additionally, you can also recycle your outfits. If there is an outfit you really love, a great way to feature it more than once is just to shoot it at a different location.
Bring A Snack
Lastly, bringing a snack is essential! You’re going to be busy the whole day, changing locations, outfits, and being generally busy. Bringing a snack will be able to give you a bit more energy throughout the day and satisfy you if you get a little hungry!
