You’re in luck girl because today I am sharing with you ‘5 Simple Ways To Reduce Stress With A Weekly Routine’! Throughout my years, I’ve learned that whilst working hard is very important, I’ve also learned that taking care of yourself and taking steps to maintain your stress levels at a low is also key.

Remember to take care of yourself; you can’t pour from an empty cup. This week I really wanted to focus on wellness and the importance incorporating of self-care by giving you my tips for a stress-free week and to simplify your weekly routine by sharing with you these 5 simple steps ways to reduce stress!

Organize Your Workspace

I strongly believe that clutter on the outside always leads to clutter on (you guessed it) the inside. Having a clear workspace not only clears your headspace, it allows you to organize yourself and your tasks for the day! Try to manage your workspace, or any space, to stay clean and tidy at most times so you’re not forced to declutter very often. If your work area is clean, you’re more likely to feel more organized and focused!

Treat Yourself

Set an afternoon aside or just a simple half an hour break a couple of days a week to set a pamper date with yourself! Put on your favorite mask, relax and just be with yourself. Not only do you get to be with yourself for a bit, but you also get to take care of your skin. It’s a win-win situation. If I have a really busy week, my favorite thing to do is to put a mask on and multitask. I still find this to be soothing but I try not to make a habit of it!

Train Your Body

Fitness is so incredibly vital for not only your body but your mind. There are endless studies and articles around that will tell you about the benefits of working out for stress relief and happiness, and I’m here to tell you the same thing. I have made my own fitness routine that works well for my body and my schedule, and the key is to really find what works for you. For a lot of people, the last thing they want to do is to work out, however starting your day with a few stretches and a little yoga or doing a few simple exercises during the week will help a lot and affect your stress levels in such a wonderful way. It’s okay to start small, the important thing is that you start.

Train Your Mind

Start reading that book that you bought months ago, learn how to play Sudoku, teach yourself how to play chess! It’s important to get your eyes off that laptop screen and do something that you enjoy and also benefits your mind. I love reading books about self-motivation as I find that they truly keep me going, and I try and read a book a month.

Unplug Yourself & Reclaim Your Thoughts

Finally, take a break from social media and unplug your mind. Take a moment to stop and breathe. Put simply, give yourself a break. It’s important to remember that taking care of yourself is not a selfish act, but rather a necessary act. Maybe go for a walk without your phone and really try and take in your surroundings. Just remember to be here.
