Giorgio Armani Honest Foundation Review

Being a beauty blogger, trying out new foundations is almost a ritual. Last week I decided to pick up the fan favorite, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk and decided to do an honest foundation review.

Now since everyone has different skin types, I wanted to give it a shot on my extra sensitive acne prone skin. Now I have to say, my first impressions even before purchasing the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation was, I was already a skeptic. I had recently purchased the Smashbox Studio  Skin Foundation because it was so hyped on YouTube and well, it made it’s way into my Disappointing Products of 2016 which you can watch here.

A Quick Overview

The Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is a medium coverage foundation. Depending on where you live, this product will run you $64 and is 1oz of a product. “This award-winning foundation is formulated with micro-fil technology, producing a low-density product that pairs high-impact pigments with the weightless texture.”

You can purchase the foundation here.

My First Impressions

The shade I had picked up was number 3. I had been debating between the lighter shade 2 but after swatching it, I had realized it had more of a pink undertone. Another thing I will note is how many shade options there were! Be sure there will be a shade for your skin tone in the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation!

My overall first impressions of the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation were I absolutely loved it! I loved the color match and the fact it felt like I was wearing no makeup. Before I ever give any kind of review, I always test it out for more than a week! When you have sensitive acne prone skin, you definitely need to be sure to give it a full wear before making any kind of thoughts and ditching the return receipt

My Final Thoughts

After two weeks after of using the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation, I am still very much impressed! It hasn’t caused a single breakout and has lasted all day, alongside help with my Hourglass Minteral Viel Primer! I definitely would repurchase this foundation again, even though it is a bit pricey.

The Positives – A long wearing foundation, lightweight, flawless finish. It looks just as stunning in a video as it does in person. An effortless full face makeup look while still looking and feeling like skin.

The Negatives – A bit on the pricey side! This has to be up there on most expensive foundations I have ever purchased, however, the color match and coverage of this foundation are so beautiful it would definitely be a repurchase for me!

Have you purchased this foundation? What are your thoughts on it? Is it really worth $64?

  • Whew glad to see you liked it too cause it’s become one of my favorite foundations! I agree that their shade range is great cause everyone is bound to find their shade, whether they have yellow or pink undertones. I find that it looks so natural on the skin and although it needs a bit of setting powder i don’t mind at all. I actually really like pairing it with the Laura Mercier setting powder! Gorgeous photos too 🙂

  • I really want to try this! My friend has it and she loves it, but says it gets a bit oily. I’m currently super dry due to my acne meds so I really want to give it a go!
